I am fulfilling a promise at last. Not one of those times when I said I'll write this and then put it out of my mind and completely forget about it. Or avoid it purposefully.
I am completing this promise partially because I'm home alone. Ohhh....
Well, at least for the next half an hour or so.
So is this the part where I lock all the doors, shut the curtains and huddle in the corner of the room? Or, maybe I wait for the ominous whisper coming from the telephone
'Have you checked the children?'
I am the children (child, teen, whatever), idiot.
For those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about I am referring to the infamous movie 'When a Stranger Calls'. I've heard the older version is scary but it's one of those things when once you've watched it, it doesn't have quite the same scare factor.
Anyway...
I feel awful. One of my best friends asked a guy out (which I encouraged her to do) and she was turned down. Kindly, but still. I feel a bit like I shouldn't have encouraged her even though it seems like he really liked her. Maybe I should have just let her decide in full. Does that make me terrible?
I really hope she feels better. I'd call her but I've lost her phone number and I'm really bad at remembering numbers other than my home number. Seriously, I've had my mobile for about three years. What's my number? No idea. Hence, the argh.
On the plus side I spent the day on the couch with another one of my best friends having a movie day and ingesting sugary goodness when we attempted to bake. She's more the 'let's measure everything out carefully this time Sarah' and I'm more of the 'screw it, let's see what happens' type when it comes to baking. Surprisingly, despite this it turned out quite well. I haven't made myself bleed in a kitchen for a long time.
We watched Legally Blonde 3 (good but I don't think I've ever met anyone who actually acts like that), Anastasia (I love it! So sweet and the songs are so catchy), The Guardian (Good but sad. Not helped by the fact that the idea of drowning makes me edgy) and we'd just got about halfway through the second Charlies Angels (Hurrah! Girl Power!) when she had to go.
And now I've got all the songs stuck in my head.
Now a tag I've stolen and been demanded to do from Dia.

Describe Kurk in one word?- Fun.

What's your fondest memory of Andy?- Weird dancing together in the aisles of Big W and freaking people out at Starbucks. Oh, and when she shot Coke (the drink obviously) out her nose. Oh, how I laughed.

Describe Marvin in one word?- Interesting.

What would you do without Claudia?- I don't know. I'd be sad and enrage the others by talking about all the wonderful stuff they hate, which I normally talk to dearest Dia about.

Would you love to read Tahlia's personal diary?- Out of curiosity maybe.

If Anita and Tahlia were locked in the same really small room for a day what do you think would happen?- Nothing, maybe the room would be silent at the end of the day.

Name something you have in common with Teggy?- A past, and a dislike of aspects of primary school.

What if you found the dark side was secretely an alien plotting to take the world over with Kurk?- I wouldn't be surprised, just disappointed she didn't tell me first.

How do oyu and Claudia's talents add up?- We have similar interests plus a love of quietness.

Who would you rather get stuck in handcuffs with, Marvin or Obi-One-Kenobi?- Marvin, I've never met Obi-One-Kenobi.
